FORMATION

EAPFP as formed in 1988 to act as a corporate voice on behalf of Manufacturers, Contractors, Specialist Laboratories and other professional institutions involved in fire protection to steelwork, timber and other passive fire protection applications, including penetration seals and ductwork.

MEMBERSHIP

There are two categories of members: Full and Associate.

Full members are national organisations in Europe representing manufacturing or contracting companies involved in specialist fire protection.

Associate members are manufacturers and contractors in countries where no national association exists.

EAPFP has representation on CEN TC 127, the main Technical Committee dealing with the harmonisation of standards for fire safety in buildings and participates in fire related European technical approval Guideline (ETAG) committees. Close liaison is maintained with EGOLF the European Organisation for Fire Testing laboratories.

EAPFP has organised a number of international conferences on passive fire protection and developments, which have been held at The European Commission in Luxembourg.

Meetings of the Association are held on a regular basis to update members on technical issues and to develop closer commercial contacts.

FEES

Subscriptions are charged on an annual basis on 1 January each year.

The fees for 2011 are

Full membership       1800 Euro p.a.      

Associate members   650 Euro p.a.
